Terms of Service

Church Worship Planner · Effective September 2, 2026

These terms govern your use of Church Worship Planner, a worship-planning and song-management service for churches, available at churchworshipplanner.com and at each church's own subdomain. By using the service you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

The service

Church Worship Planner lets a church maintain its member directory, plan worship services, assign volunteers to roles, manage songs and presentation slides, and send service reminders to the volunteers who are scheduled. Each church operates its own private site with its own data.

Accounts

Your church's content and copyright

Your church is responsible for having the rights to the material it uploads. Song lyrics, sheet music, translations, and presentation slides are frequently under copyright, and obtaining the necessary license — for example a CCLI or comparable reproduction license — is the uploading church's obligation, not ours.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

Text messages

Reminder texts are optional, off by default, and sent only to a member who entered and confirmed their own mobile number. Message and data rates may apply. Details, including how to stop them, are on the Text Message Program page. Churches may not use this feature for anything other than reminders to their own scheduled volunteers.

Availability and backups

We aim to keep the service running continuously and take nightly off-site backups, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. Maintenance, updates, and outages will happen. Keep your own copy of anything you cannot afford to lose; the app provides export tools for this purpose.

Disclaimer and limitation of liability

The service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including any implied warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost data, revenue, or goodwill. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us for the service in the twelve months before the claim.

Suspension and termination

A church may stop using the service at any time and request its data. We may suspend or terminate access that violates these terms, endangers the service or its other users, or is required to be stopped by law. We will give reasonable notice where we practically can.

Changes

We may revise these terms as the service changes. The effective date at the top of the page shows when they were last revised, and continued use after a revision means you accept it.
